Boston Hotels Marathon weekend

Fairmont Copley Plaza or Westin Copley Place for a luxury hotel in Boston?

Westin - but can you still get reservations for that weekend?

Yes there still are rooms available at both. I just keep reading good and bad about so many Boston hotels I'm having a hard time deciding. Do you have an opinion about Jury's?

I was so astonished to read that they had vacancies, I had to check for myself. The Westin web site is showing no availability for either April 14 or 15, 2007.

Copley Plaza is older and the rooms may be smaller (haven't stayed there). The Westin is lovely (stayed a few weeks ago). Comfortable room and bed, great view for the Charles from the room. Nice to be able to walk to shopping mall without going outside during cold weather. Haven't stayed at Jurys but I love the bar there.

Anonymous, I just booked a reservation at the Westin Copley, when I looked on their website just now there were many rooms available, weird.

Aha! I was trying single nights; when I tried a 5-night stay, I found rooms. So they must have a minimum stay that weekend, which makes sense.

The Fairmont has an impressive lobby (maybe even a little gsudy), but the rooms are SMALL.

Westin is much more comfortable.
