Blue Water Grill. NY - Seating

I've just made reservations, for two, for Saturday 5/24, and would like input on which section to request in advance - main floor, mezzanine, outdoors (depending on weather) or the downstairs jazz room. Thanks.

I just ate there last week and would have been happy at any table. The downstairs seemed very romantic (we had our 11 year old w/us) while the mezz. looked pretty cool. It was a beautiful night so the outdoor seating was in full swing. We were seated on the main floor which gave us views of the whole restaurant (not the downstairs of course!).

The food was really good. I loved the sushi and the other apps. My entree' was good but my husbands mahi mahi was great.

Enjoy!

You are in for a treat - the food is fantastic (though portions are small). I've eaten downstairs and would recommend it.

Enjoy.

IMO, the main floor is the best option b/c the room is wonderful -- one of the best restaurant "spaces" in NY. The outdoor is great too if the weather is nice. Downstairs in the jazz room is a little tighter. The mez. is also a little cramped but still nice.

karebear ... of course we will all will LOVE it. If we remember, we can toast each other, knowing that at least two Fodorites are there. Cheers Karebear.
