Which route is the best to Philadelphia and would you reccomend driving?

And would your starting point be from Mars or Venus?

From NYC.....

I've done this trip many times, and this is how I do it (minimal time and money).

Get on the New Jersey Turnpike South.
Get off at Exit 7, I-195. Head towards Trenton, NOT the Shore Points.
Just as your about to get to Hiway 29 into Trenton, you'll see the exit for I-295. Take it south.
Stay on 295 till Exit 36, Hiway 73. You'll have to make a few turns to do this, but just follow the signs to 73 North.
After about five miles, you come to a Y, where you veer left towards Hiway 90, for the Betsy Ross Bridge. This is the best way to go.

Cross over the Betsy Ross Bridge and you're within the city limits of Philly. Take I-95 south towards "Center City" (we don't call it "downtown").

Try not to do this during the morning rush hour, or the longest part of your trip will be from the BR Bridge to downtown.

Thanks for that tip but i really now want to get a train. Which train should I get and how much does it cost?

There are two train options.

1) Amtrak - From NYC Penn, there are so many trains leaving for Philadelphia and points beyond (Harrisburg and DC). I would NOT take the Metroliner or Acela Express. Just take the regular train. Takes about 1:20 and costs $48 each way. By comparion, Acela Express takes 1:08 and costs $81.

2) New Jersey Transit/Septa - This way is cheaper but takes longer. Take the Northest Corridor NJT (http://www.njtransit.com/sf_train_timetables.shtm) train from Penn to Trenton NJ. Switch to the R7 Septa (http://www.septa.com/) train into Philadelphila. NJT cost $10.40 each way and Septa is $7.00. You can also get a round-trip off-peak ticket on NJT for $15.75. The NJT tain takes about 1:22 to Trenton. The Septa trains takes another hour or so.

So what is he/she is too lazy to look for him/herself. If no one wants to help, no one will respond. I don't see how it affects you that he/she is too lazy. It certainly didn't bother me and I responded. Can not a single thread go by without a negative comment? I mean, why is there so much hostility towards everyone else?

Well I agree with Ho Hum. This is info. that 3 angels could have easily found on the net or by visiting their local Triple AAA. I have asked far more specific questions then this and have gotten far less useful answers. People who sound this dumb and lazy don't deserve helpful responses.
