Who are you people? Have you EVER thrown or gone to a bachelor party?
Sure let's plan a bachelor party and tell the hotel that's what we want to do---booze, wild women, cards, carousing-and let them help arrange it! Yeah right. If you guys were in charge of Columbus' trip he would have never left port!! Get real!!!
You order a suite or two and go on about organizing. Perhaps you should "discuss" this with a bellman or head bellman--they often can be "very helpful". If you tell the manager what do you expect them to say???
Just keep a lid on the hoots and hollers and pick a good place.
A wad of $20's for security never hurts if they copme up to investigate noise complaints.
Haven't any of you ever been 28 years old??????

Actually a friend had a BP in FtLauderdale. They booked the suite. They greased the palms. They hired their own security spies, yah dah yah dah.The hotel told them up front,no party. They did anyway and I ended up bailing them out of jail.Seems the hotel called the fuzz and charged them ALL with PI.So,I can see the point of being careful and checking out what the hotel wants and doesnt want.

Kev-
I was NOT at the party.I was sound asleep when my friend called to come and get him and some others from jail.Apparently, hotel security got wind of the "party" early on.As much as they tried to stay inside the suite, there were a couple of the guys who showed up sloshed to being with. You know how it goes.I gather as soon as some of them emptied into the hall for whatever reason, thats when they were nailed.Security had everyone hawled off.

Not really any hotels between downtown and UT. The one that is probably "in between" is the Marriott on 11th and IH 35. You might try them. If you plan on doing 6th St., I'd try the Omni. If you prefer 4th St (Warehouse district) then perhaps the Sheraton is closest.
I'm not sure how any hotel feels about a BP. But just in case, you might try to avoid the more upscale such as the Driskoll and the Four Seasons. I don't see any harm in a BP if you have a little decorum. (My dad's favorite saying...)
