Conlit, I started a response but must have gotten distracted. Chances are you'll end up with the Doubletree on Hotwire. I stayed there last week and it is very nice. It's right next to the Courtyard and there are several restaurant options right in the Tower Place complex and you'll not have to take your car out if you don't want to.

I'm a fan of the Buckhead Diner and it's just down the street. They have great lemon drop martinis and their homemade potato chip appetizer with maytag bleu cheese is to die for.

I'll post this and add more in a minute.

The Buckhead Diner and Kyma are both in the Buckhead Life group and all are great.

One of my favorite restaurants is in Lenox Square mall. It's a great shopping destination with lots of restaurants. Prime is just inside the main mall entrance, upstairs and has great steaks and sushi. I love the place!

Here's a list from Urbanspoon. All of the top 10 are good. Prime is listed at #5 =

If you want to feel like you've landed in Italy, I love La Grotta on Peachtree. That location is on the Garden level of a condo building, so you'll wonder "what the heck?!" when you drive up. But once you are inside, you will be wowed. Some of the waitstaff have been there for 30 years and the food, presentation and service will not be beat in Atlanta. They are offering a "Stimulus Menu" that gives you a glass of wine, an appetizer and an entree for $23.95. Normally, you can't get out of the place for less than $100 for 2, so it's a real deal. It's only offered on weekdays so will only work if you arrive on a Thursday or Friday.

Enjoy!

Starrs - thanks so much for your suggestions. That stimulus menu at La Grotta looks so good - I could easily just eat the appetizers! The Buckhead group places also look good.
