It looks like you have a wonderful trip planned!
Camellia Grill is not open. It looks like it's being redone, but not sure if it will open under the same name, or when.
The St. Charles street cars will not be running when you are here.
Yotefan, you've gotten a lot of great advice, unfortunately some on this thread is from pre-Katrina. Please check to make sure anything mentioned here is up and running while you'll be in NO.
And you might see alligators, just depends on how much cold weather we have between now and then. Last year would have been a definite chance, we had very little cold weather or rain. Who knows what will happen between now and Christmas. Our alligators (American) don't hibernate, but they do become dormant in cold weather.
