2 nights near Tetons/Yellowstone - lodge recommendations?

We'll be visiting Yellowstone in June and participating in an in Park program for 4 days, staying at Mammoth Village. I'm hoping to find a hotel to stay at for our remaining 2 nights, in the direction of Jackson (where our flight leaves from) that is a bit nicer than the basic cabins we'll get in Mammoth. I'd like a place where we might be able to have 2 rooms or a cabin and there is room for our son (10) to run around perhaps near a lake? Thanks for your help!

While in the Tetons:

Jackson Lake Lodge
Jenny Lake Lodge
Signal Mountain Lodge
http://www.signalmountainlodge.com/

Check them out, there is at least one that will fill the needs you want.

If they have a vacancy and you can afford it, Jenny Lake Lodge is tops. As CD posted above Jackson Lake and Signal Mountain Lodges are also goot choices and not as expensive as Jenny Lake Lodge.

Or you could stay at Teton Village condos, near entrance to GTNP, about 15 minutes outside of Jackson. There is a tram to top of mountain and since they are condos, you all get privacy and space.

Well unfortunately looks like all the in park lodging are booked for the two nights we need. Any other ideas? How is Teton Village in the summer? Looks like its a ski oriented area. Should we just stay in Jackson and drive out to the park? Thanks.

We loved Teton Village - full condo with kitchen and all appliances. We had 2 BR, 2 bath unit for less than price of 2 local hotel rooms. But it is convenient to GTNP not good for day trips into Yellowstone - too far.
