Help! I've gotten reservations to Oahu on Aug. 2 but am having difficulty finding a 2 bedroom rental. I'd like to spend 7 nights by a swimmable North Shore beach and stay within my limited ($200 per night) budget.

Does anyone have ideas on a creative way to find a rental?

Martha, I went to www.google.com and typed in "two bedroom north shore oahu vacation rental" in the search window and came up with a lot of sites. One was http://www.goin2travel.com/list/oahu3.htm

Try www.northshorebeachhouse.com. We stayed in this house in January. It's on a nice beach, has a big yard, lots of toys, including a kayak, close to great hiking, and a ten minute drive to Haleiwa.

The following article inspired us to travel to the North Shore Oahu-last September. You may be hardpressed to find a condo, but we had a great time in one of the rental houses from sandsea.com - Haleiwa & the North shore sounds like it fits the bill for you-Lanakeia Beach is perfect and the best snorkeling on the island is just down the road. One caveat-if you do rent a house with sandsea make sure it is away from the
Kamamaha(sp?) Highway.
