Where would you go for a honeymoon?
We are planning our honeymoon for mid-June, and are looking at B&B type places throughout different parts of Mexico. We have narrowed it down to the following
laya Del Carmen, Huatalco, Puerto Vallerta, Cozumel, Zihuatanejo, and Cabo. We are looking for something that has a lot of culture and charm, beautiful scenery, great authentic restaurants, yet privacy. Not having been to Mexico, we are wondering which of these places fits this description the best? Thanks so much.

I think all of them fit in different ways (except Cabo which is too commercial and tourist driven for me to recommend). I am a frequent visitor to Puerto Vallarta and love it there! Authentic and charming town, beautiful scenery of mountains, jungles around the Bay or Banderas, restaurants of all kinds.
The thing about B&B type places - they are not the most private (since you mentioned privacy being important) just by nature of being a B&B compared to a hotel. Anyway take a look at one of my favorite spots to stay in PV for one idea: www.casa-andrea.com
For more privacy, after flying into PV you might want to head north along the coast to some of the smaller towns where you could rent a bungalow on the beach.

If it were me, I'd look into El Careyes or El Tamarindo resorts on the Costa Allegre, south of PV.
Though they're not B&Bs, they do look perfect for a honeymoon!
But for great restaurants and charm, PV might be your best bet.

Thank you all for your advice! It looks like we are going to Puerto Vallerta! We are really excited! We wanted to stay on the water, so we have narrowed it down to 2 B&Bs (which I won't give the name of until we get our reservations taken care of...no sense in taking a chance of having someone see this and book it for themselves!!)
I'll be sure to post a review when we return. Any additional PV info that anyone would like to toss in would be great! Thanks again!
