Iberostar Tucan or Lindo for families?

Is anyone able to compare the family-friendly Tucan to the brand new Lindo? Looking to go next Thanksgiving with an extended family of 15 - and we're having a hard time choosing. Are they very far apart? Quality of the food? Rooms? Beach? Thanks!

We enjoyed the Tucan; don't know about the Lindo. Try doing a search for both on this board. The Tucan is much closer to Playa del Carmen, so that might be a factor in your decision.

We stayed at the Lindo week after Thanksgiving last year. It is a very beautiful resort. The pools are out of this world. Theres a lazy river, and wave pool for the kids, and a pool for the adults with a pool bar. Theres also an ice cream bar above the pool bar. Theres also a nice play area for the kids.

The food was very good. The rooms were nice are pretty big for standard rooms. We were in the bldg closest to the beach. If you stay at the Lindo you also have access to the Parisio and Del Mar which are right next to it.
You can eat at their restaurants also.

The beach was also nice. We had a few days that it was pretty rough, but not rough enough to not go in.

It was only open a few weeks when we were there and everything ran pretty smooth then, so I imagine that it could only get better.

Staff was very friendly and helpful.
I think you will really enjoy it. Lots to do for everyone.

A friend of mine just got back from Tucan. She and her family loved it- her daughter was still "homesick" and cring for it and her friends she had made 3 days later. She had nothing bad to say at all!
