Honeymoon Spot NEAR PV

We are having our wedding in November in Puerto Vallarta and would like to honeymoon somewhere within a reasonable driving distance from there so we don't have to fly twice. Can you recommend a city and/or great hotel(s) that we should look into. We would prefer beachfront. Please help!!

Why leave PV? It is a great town! Excellent restaurants, decent shopping, great locals, good nightlife, you can see whales there in November on a boat, lots to see and do there. Many beachfront hotels of varying prices and amenities.

cjh - there are some beautiful & romantic resorts along the costa alegre. some of them are pretty unique like Hotelito Desconocido which has "bungalow" type rooms & the whole resort it lit by hundreds of candles each night. It is a Small Leading Hotel of the World. www.hotelito.com I have not been to any of these resorts but am familiar with them. El Careyes Beach Resort might also be a great choice.

Hello,

what you have described for your Honeymoon is our Bed and Breakfast Hotel, located in San Francisco Mexico, just 25 miles north of Puerto Vallarta.

You can view our B & B at www.casaobelisco.com and check references from our guests at www.tripadviser.com We are rated as the number one Bed and Breakfast in all of Puerto Vallarta.

If you want a "city" then staying in Puerto Vallarta is the key. Have you been there before? Although the other posts mention what may be great hotels or beaches they are not towns with wonderful dining options, galleries, shops, activities, entertainment, etc. If you simply want an isolated beachfront place, that is more what has been recommended above.

the best advice I can give you is check w/trip advisor.com and see the reviews they are very helpful. It's all a matter of preferences. You can be private at Quinta Real right at the Marina in P. Vallarta or you can go to Four Seasons which is about 45 minutes from P. Vallarta or Casa Obelisco these I have recommended before check w/trip advisor and read the reviews of these places if you are looking for up scale they are about as upscale as you can get in this area. Good Luck and Congratulations
