Help WithReal Estate in Argentina
Having spent a moth or so in this wonderful country we are now actively looking to buy a property here, probably in either Salta or Mendoza with a view to setting up a small "Bed and Breakfast" operation. We will also possibly purchase an apartment in BA.
Having met with a couple of property agents in the country we quickly realised the range of problems facing those buying property in the country and would like to enlist the service of a good, English speaking property professional who can guide us through the whole process from finding a place, negotiating a price to completion and the whole legal process.
So far we have met with www.english-associates.com and will shortly meet with www.souterncrossland.com.
Does anyone have any experience they would care to share or maybe a recommendation for a property agent?
I would really appreciate any help and guidance.

Hi
I can give you my realtor, we bought a home here in Buenos Aires .. he handles real estate out of the city also and speaks English which is very helpful when going through the long and very complicated business of buying property here.
We used an attorney ( escribano) that he recommended and I would use this man for anything I need again.
But I won't put his name on a forum so you can email me at [email protected] if you wish .. chau ~
ps
In the meantime, you can look at www.argonprop.com.ar
just for ideas

Scarlett - Thanks very much for the info. I will certainly email you for the contact deatils of your realtor.
PS as you will see from avrooster's comments above we both seem to suffer from the same miss-typing affliction. personally, i blame the Argentinian wine!
