All Inclusives in P.V.

What are some of the nicest all inclusives in Puerto Vallarta? How's the Marina de Oro?

I'd never go all inclusive in Puerto Vallarta because there are so many great smaller local hotels and wonderful independent restaurants. Especially in the Old Town neighborhood (southside and downtown).

Randy, <BR>We just got back from four nights at Majahuitas, which is an all inclusive south of Puerto Vallarta. We never stay in all inclusives because we like to explore the town but Majahuitas was absolutely wonderful. You can take day trips into town or to Yelapa and the food is fabulous, which is hard to find at an all inclusive resort. Las Alamandas is further out of PV but is supposed to be great also. Check them out at differentworld.com, which is where we found out about Majahuitas. We spent the first half of our trip at Majahuitas and the second half of our vacation in town - we got the best of both worlds: a nearly secluded beach with all the water activities you could ask for and gourmet meals (prepared by Mexican chefs, so you do get authentic food) three times a day and then a few days in town exploring on land.

Even in what you'd call *nice* all inclusives there is a huge difference in prices (per person/per night). The resort mentioned above is extremely expensive.

I have stayed at the Allegro Nuevo Vallarta and it was fantastic. Great food and the service was excellent. It is also vert close to PV. I recommend it.
