Activities in Cancun
I am going to Cancun with a 17 and 18 year old the week after Easter. Neither have gone snorkeling before. Where is a good place? Should we take a tour? What else do you suggest for activities???

For first time snorkelers, I suggest going through Aquaworld for a day trip. That is how I first experienced snorkeling. Also, a trip to Xcaret is great - there are plenty of spots to snorkel without having tons of people right next to you. Plus, there are other things to do in Xcaret if they decide snorkeling isn't for them. Enjoy!

I agree with dougout! Snorkel Adventure was the best by far, and we have done several snorkeling excursions in the Cancun/PDC area. You leave from Pat O'Briens and spend the day on a quite, private beach. Food and drink is provided...including cervezas and tequila. A lot of people played volleyball in between boat trips out to the reef. We went out 4 times I think...2 times to the 10 ft drop and 2 times to the 20 ft drop...there are different fish to see when the tide is in and out. Be careful not to scrape up against the coral. ouch! I like xcaret and xel-ha for a relaxing day, but the snorkeling there is not that great. Go with Snorkel Adventure -- you'll be glad you did!
