Whoa Horsey!

Hey all,
my sister and I are going to Barcelona and wed like to take a day trip horseback riding. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas? Ive found the following site, and it looks good, and resonably priced, what do you think?

thanks

Well - this says the ride is 2 to 2.5 hours. Sounds like fun - as long as you have some riding experience with an English saddle. If you have none it could be quite uncomfortable.

Looks like fun. Based on the lower photo and the way that woman is holding the reins and sitting on the horse, I'd say their "suitable for beginners" designation is correct. Hopefully they can also accommodate more experienced riders.

Agree with nytraveler. The stirrups are also different. Be ready to stand on your soles instead of sitting in the saddle.

Not sure what you mean by standing on your soles. You definitely sit on an English saddle - unless posting the trot. (And I can;t imagine a ride of this kind has a lot of trotting.) But for people who are thinking they'll get a pommel as on a western saddle, and english saddle can be a surprise.

And agree, the rider shown is obviously a complete novice - but the horses used by such companies are usually so docile (not to say sleepy) that not being in control of the reins probably isn't much of an issue.
