Hi... have you attempted to do any research as yet? You could go to the Fodors 'raves' section for Hotels and pick out some that sound good, then ask here for more information or opinions...
You could use the search box above - just enter this: paris and hotel
and then read the threads that come up in the results.
It's such a popular /common question and there are tons of answers...if you just make a small effort to look. And your idea of "reasonable" might be $200/night but it wouldn't be my idea of "reasonable" (budgets vary). You should also mention:
- double or single room
- dates of travel
- locations you are favoring (Eiffel, Latin Qtr, etc)
This forum is a great resource, espec. if you do some legwork first.

Hi mica,
The Plaza Athenee is offering a special Valentine's Day pkg.
Superior room, dinner for two in the room, floral bouquet, complimentary glass of champagne at the bar, handmade chocolate on your pillow.
About 1000E for the night.

Like the above post states, what are your accommodation needs? Do you mind a hall bathroom or shower? Or a tiny room that may not have a television, but offers a view of Montmatre or Notre Dame?
I've found clean & convenient hotels in the 40 Euro range right on Rue de Rivoli that other people would never consider because they may have higher standards. But then again I am a low budget traveler.
Personally, I would consider the Marais District (3/4 Arr) - a very hip and fun area. Or Bastille.

I need a nice hotel also in Paris for may 19-27 we were going to stay at the
place d'italie holiday inn but its now like 100 euros per night. I think I can do better for that much? the only problem is that there are to many to choose from so I ask if anyone can suggest a place for about 100 Euro per night that they have stayed in?

We are planning to travel on the week of April 11 for two people. And we want to stay as much as possible closer to the city. And as for the cost we are looking for under 100 eur.
Any recommendations would be great.
Thanks.

..just a word of warning..In central Paris on your budget it will be 2 star..you will have a bathroom (as opposed to walking down the hall). just dont expect to get a large room with ammenities for that amout..that being said you will NOT be slumming it on that budget.I also think for a first visit and your budget arr 5-7 would be great..hope this is the first of many trips to Paris for you.
