What's Going on in Paris mid-May?
I've been trying for two days to reserve a hotel in Paris for a client who will be there for 5 days beginning May 16. I've contcted 10 hotels - all completely full.
What's up? Anyone have any suggestions for a hotel for a couple with a 6-year-old child around 100-120 euro a night? I've already tried the Hotel de France, Muguet, Champs de Mars, Turenne, College de France St Thomas d'Aquin, Jeanne d'Arc, Lux Hotel Picpus, TimHotel Eiffel, Londres-Eiffel, de Lille...and a few more I forget.

Decent budget hotels in Paris are usually small and fill up fast - often 3/4 months in advance. Looking only 2 weeks in advance is VERY late.
Have you done a search here for other recos?
Have you checked venere.com? They have very few left for those dates but seem to have a couple in that price range.

You could also try Hôtel de Saint-Germain. We've never stayed there but its owned by the Fleurie and I've seen positive mentions here.

I think nytraveler is right. That's only a couple weeks away, and the most popular and in-demand small budget hotels are just booked up farther head than that. That budget is really tight for a decent triple in Paris in a good area, also.
Well, a few other ideas in the Latin Qtr (as I know it better): maybe the Parc St Severin, the Abbatial St Germain, the Sorbonne, or the Familia, maybe even the Claude Bernard, the Elysa Luxembourg, the Europe St Severin, the St Jacques--or the Monge or St Christophe or even the Arenes (last three are near place Monge metro).
I don't know if all those are in that budget, though. I think the Arenes is (and is a 3*), and it's not as wellknown, so maybe a better bet for not being full. A triple is about 120 euro
