What time of year? In September, not likely. It takes that much or more to get a decent double room in a 3-star.
the Aiglon for a superior room is up to 142e.

300 e is more like it in a true 4 star.
A superior room at Bucci goes for about 240e during August when the season is slower.

The Edouard VII is advertising 187e as a special price. So you can get an idea of the prices.

If you demand better than Bersoly's, or the Kleber, which are 3 stars, your tastes are truly epicurean.
I say demand because I want their niceness; I just dont want to pay for it!! You know, champagne tastes; beer income.
I would be nice to spend a week in Paris luxuriating at the Napolean in a suite at 1,250 a day. 3 of those equals my trip budget!!
Check out Caron de Beaumarchais. It isn't 4 stars, it's 3, and it is about as far from the Eiffel Tower as you can get, in the Marais. But it is really nice and in a very lively neighborhood. At least it's in your price range.

There aren't hardly any 4* hotels around the Eiffel Tower, so you can just check their web sites -- HOtel Tourville is the main one I can think of, other than the Hilton. That's the lower end of the rate for a nice 3* hotel around there (like Relais Bosquet or Duquesne Eiffel).

I know a lot of people like to be close to the Eiffel Tower, however, IMHO I think the Latin Quarter is great. We stayed at the Hotel Jardin du Luxemburg and it was very nice and in your price range (in 2000). You are close to the Luxembourg Gardens, Pantheon, and Notre Dame. I'd stay here again. Just do like we did and sit and stare at the Eiffel Tower till you can't take it anymore, rather than getting a hotel in the area !

Hi Jamila
>I'm looking for a room at a 4 star for about $100 for May 12th.<

If you are thinking about *this* May 12, you are going to find it difficult to find any room for $100.

You might wish to try the Hotel Bonaparte, 61 rue Bonaparte. It is $100/dbl w/bkfst. It is a 2*.
