We would like to see both the Vienna Mozart Concert and the Vienna Boys Choir while in Vienna for four days in October.
Have you seen these concerts? Are two concerts too many?

Hi db,

>Are two concerts too many?<

Not if you like that sort of thing.

These are two first-rate groups.

The Vienna Mozart Concert plays in period costume.

Ira,
Thank you for your response. We will definately see both. Do you know if the Vienna Mozart Concert is only on certain nights, and what the cost is?\
Thanks Again,
Donnae

There could never be too many such Vienna concerts, or too many London plays for that matter.

When you say you want to see a Mozart concert, do you mean that that you want to see a Mozart Opera, a Mozart symphony or a popular, tourist performance of Mozart's music?

The Vienna Boys sing on Sunday in the State church in Vienna. They only sing a few hymns and as they are sitting in the balcony behind you, you will not see them. Last year the touring group ( The choir is divided into four groups and they rotate touring) sang in performances all over the USA. IMO the performances were better; certainly they were longer, the boys were visible and in some cases the accoustics in the theatre were better. They will be performing in the USA again.

Heck, I'd do a concert every night every day of my trip if I could.

It does depend what you like.

The Vienna Boys Choir sings a Catholic Mass each Sunday morning and also gives occasional concerts at various venues during the week. Check their schedule for the dates you will be in Vienna at http://www.wsk.at
