I stayed this past March at the Albergo Del Senato in Rome. My husband and I were thrilled with the hotel and its location. You can't get better views and the hotel is great. We loved it.

Of course you can visit Capri from Positano. Go down to the dock and buy a ticket to take one of the boats. It is a lovely ride. I have been emailing Villa Rosa for over 2 weeks about a reservation for next June with no response. We have stayed the past 2 Junes with prompt responses to emails, but we didn't book this far in advance. You will love it!

Hi -- We just returned from Italy this past Sunday and we stayed in the Nicolas Inn and loved it. Melissa and Francois were gracious hosts - extremely helpful but never overbearing. The rooms were immaculate and the Inn is very convenient to the Colesium and easy walks all over the city. I would highly recommend staying there.

Oldmyst,
Thank you! I will check this place out!!

rbnwdln,
I was just in touch with Villa Rosa and booked the 4th floor flat for June 25-June 29th. Hopefully, those weren't the dates you wanted! Please, tell me more about VR and the Almafi Coast!!! Did you do the Blue Grotto or the Green Grotto?

skiobx,
Thank you for the response back about Nicolas Inn! I emailed them, but they are not taking reservations for June 2007 until next month!

So far, I have booked Corte Grimani in Venice and Villa Rosa. Many of the other places were out of my price range and La Calcina only had a few side views left, plus they they more $$$ than Corte Grimani! I got a superior apartment there with supposedly a full view on a small canal! I'm leaving for San Diego tomorrow and all I can think about is Italy next year!!!!

This is the discount from venere:

Offer your friends a 4% discount on their first hotel reservation with Venere.com and you'll collect bonus points redeemable at over 20 online shops including Amazon, Cadooz, Digital Pix and Air Berlin.
You can earn 1 bonus point for each friend you are sending this code to using our email form. Each bonus point is worth approximately 0.50 Euros. Moreover, every time one of your friends makes a reservation with the discount code, you earn 4 bonus points. Your friends will also receive a discount code of their own when they make a reservation...

...even the friends of your friends will earn you bonus points by booking with Venere: you will collect 2 bonus points for each first reservation made by a friend of your friends and 1 bonus point for each first reservation made by a friend, of a friend of your friends.

I've given my code to friends and others on this forum but haven't "cashed in" the points so I don't know if it works. I do know the 4% works to book because I used someone's code on this forum to book rooms in Venice in April....My code is 9WD4FGM so you can use that to save 4%.

9DKKEM7 or C3G3H2Y
venere discount codes can also be used.

Use a different email for each reservation in order to always get the 4% discount
If you book with a previously used name and email address, you will not be discounted, as it is offered only for the first time ;-)

Enjoy !

The Venere discount code allows you to offer a discount to your friends who want to book via Venere. The discount code you can offer is: C92TJ46. The discount is 4%. There is a box to enter a discount code when you are inputting your personal information. I used a code from a friend and my discount was instantly applied.
