Ischia Hotel

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive hotel or apartment in the Forio, Panza or Sant Angelo area? By in inexpensive, I mean under 50 euro. I would be going at the end of May/beginning of June. I saw a reference to a hotel called Casa Garibaldi but its website doesn't display much information.

Thanks

Our hotel was way over that, but have you looked at the pretty complete list and links of hotels on www.ischiaonline.it?

Yes, I've studied the list of hotels extensively. I'm just looking for recommendations. I'm also curious about whether anyone has had any good/bad experiences with renting an apartment. From what I've seen, many of them charge a single supplement and I'm planning to travel solo. Thanks

I don't get that last question. If an apartment is a certain price how could they charge a single supplement? You mean they charge you more if you're alone than they would if there were two of you?

Yes, some hotels/apts. do charge you an extra single supplement fee if you are alone. Other hotels charge less. It's inconsistent, but that is what I've been seeing.

I think what is meant by that last comment is that some apt rentals may charge 200 euro per week, but it's per person (which is really 400 for the apt.) But for a single they may charge 300 euro per week. Is this right mkf99?

So the apartment normally rents for $400 a week but if there is only one person you get it for $300 and that's considered a bad thing?

OK, I realize that it would cost more than half the regular couple price if only one person is there, but how could it ever be otherwise?
