Train from Liverpool to London
For those that recommend the train over air for travel from Liverpool to London, which rail line? Eurostar? bristish Rail? Is there a stop near the Marble Arch?

Central Trains and Virgin serve that route, from Liverpool Lime Street station to London Euston. The Virgin trips are through services, the others require a train change.
Euston Station is on the north side of London, a ten-minute bus ride from Marble Arch on a #10, 73, or 390 bus.

Just follow the advice you were given the other day. http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34916192
Incidentally, whatever made you think BA served Liverpool?

A sport single ticket is for groups traveling together. A single advance C ticket costs 12.50 GBP, the same as sport single tickets.
First class cars have fewer seats and are usually not full. The seats are bigger and there is more leg room. For the relatively short trip from Liverpool to London, I'd stick with standard class.

A little-known benefit of traveling first cabin is that doing so gives you access to the lounges at many stations. Free tea and biscuits, fresh newspapers, and personalized itinerary management plus a nice place to sit isolated from hoi polloi (mods, rockers, and the like).

Here's a map showing bus services from Euston: http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/Dow.../TK_Euston.pdf
All the buses to Marble Arch (10, 30, 73, and 390) stop at H and P.
