Hi! Just got that question answered as well - you will need separate tickets for each leg.

GREAT pictures (and I'm picky!!) The one of the chimneys with the couple (think it was 350) is a knockout!

Kaudrey - Many thanks for a great report on your trip. We're headed to Spain May 21 and your report (as well those from SRS & Oaktown Traveler) have been a great help. Especially appreciate the little tidbits you can't get from the guidebooks and the personal comments on restaurants!

I just found this site and am absolutely amazed at the depth and breadth of knowledge on this board. I stayed up all night reading everything and now I want to read Maribel's notes on Spain.

I am leaving soon for 17 days in Spain and would greatly appreciate it if somebody could forward me Maribel's notes ([email protected]). Thanks kaudrey for your time and insight.

Kaudrey,

We have recently returned from Spain, visiting Madrid, Toledo, Avila & Segovia, and Barcelona. Your report was of great help to us. Maribel's files were absolutely fantastic. We did a lot of research, read books and studied.

We are now planning our trip to Seville and Andalucia and e-mailed Maribel for her Seville file, but have received no answer. I am sure she is traveling.

Could you e-mail me Maribel's file on Seville? My e-mail is [email protected].

Thanks so much for your trip report and being a great contributor to Fodors.

I have sent the files from to everyone below LisaLisa.

FOR OTHERS: MARIBEL WILL SEND YOU HER FILES. Search by her name and look in the posts for her email address. She wants people to email her directly instead of asking on this board. It will be easier for everyone.

Thanks, and let me know if you have any more questions!

I tried to follow your advice to trace the Mirabel files but can't seem to pull up her files. If you still have them, could you e mail them to me? We are going to Madrid, Seville, Granada, Barcelona and either Mallorca or Menorca in late July/August. So all files pertaining to any of the above would really be appreciated.

Karen
thank you for such a wonderful and detailed trip report. Brought back some wonderful memories. I went to almost all of the places you visited except for Barcelona. A few of my experiences in the same places.

Toledo-I went on a guided tour from Madrid (35 euro, i think) from a company directly across the park from the Palace. Quite frankly, not that great, perhaps easier to go on your own. Toledo was also the home of El Greco, and you can see his famous painting "the burial of the count of Orgaz" in the lobby of Santo Tome church.

Segovia enjoyed two nights there. STayed at Hotel Infanta Isabel, right on the Plaza Mayor. single cost me 77 dollars thru expedia last year, a bargain really. Anyone going to Segovia, its a gorgeous city, there is a street(lane) from the plaza mayor to the Aqueduct (i think Isabel la Catolica) great pedestrian steet.

regional Train from Madrid to Segovia (catch at Chamartin) was less than 5 euroes, about an hour and half trip. you will see Valle de los Caidos, monument to the victims of the civil war..on the way. When the weather is nice many madrilenos take this train to go hike in the hills as well. The scenery is lovely if you have the time to spare for the train...

Would advise to put a suitcase in the lockers at the train station. cost was 3 euro and made everything much easier.

mas if anyone finds these comments useful
