Thanks for your great report, and all the related posts. I posted my own query about what it would be like to be a woman alone in Barcelona before scrolling through the messages and finding this thread. Oops. I hope there will be other fodorites in Barcelona July 6-12!

Wow! Beautiful pictures Karen! Thank you for sharing.

Your trip report was wonderful. We're spending three days in Ronda, in part to do some hiking in the area. Your report has me so excited for that part of the trip in particular!

Which numbers in the pictures are from Seville? Which are Barcelona? Is there any of the Alcantara?

oopsy - Have a great trip. Thanks! I absolutely LOVED Ronda.

Richardab - sorry I didn't have a chance to label them all. I should. OK: Sevilla is pictures 62 through 92 (use the drop down menus). Barcelona is pictures 128 to the end, including Monserrat.

I didn't take any pictures of Alcantara. If you have any more questions, let me know, I'll be happy to try to answer them!

Hi Kaudrey,

Thanks for your great trip report. Lots of good tips on restuarants and sights. I'll be going myself in late May so was hoping I could get Maribel's Barcelona files as well.

Thx!

Thanks, JJBhoy!

Richardab - I don't really have any "don't misses", but the places I mention in my report were all good. I am more of a casual eater, and in Spain I often had tapas for dinner.

In Sevilla I'd definitely try the fried Camembert with raspberry sauce at Bar Patanchon, if you like cheese. Maribel suggested it to me, and it was excellent! I actually had it 2 nights in a row.

In Barcelona I ate at a modern-looking place on Rambla Cataluyna near the Placa Catalunya that I think was called El Trobador (or something like that). It is also on Maribel's list, and was very good.

morensa - I have sent you Maribel's Barcelona file.

Karen

Thank you sooo much for your travel diary. My husband and I are going to Madrid & Spain in 3 weeks and all this info will come in handy.

Can you send me Maribel's file on Madrid and Barcelona. We're also planning day trips to Tolego, Segovia, Montserrat and who knows where else.

Thanks again for the great info.

Great report, Kaudrey. Thank you so much for sharing.

Here's a pic that might take you back to that little "grassy spot" below the Segovia Alcazar on Day 4...

Hi Karen!
Thanks so much for posting your trip report. We are headed to Seville and other parts of Andalucia in Sept.
We were thinking of a day trip to Toledo or Segovia. Any preference between the 2? Is there enough to do in each city for a full day trip?
Also, I keep hearing about Maribel's files. We would love to get a copy of Maribel's files for Seville, Cordoba or any other Andalucia area. Do you have a copy (or anyone else out there) that could be sent to me? Or are they posted anywhere?
Thanks so much in advance. My email address is: [email protected]

Karen,
My husband and I JUST STARTED planning our trip to Spain in May. Yes, we are planning very late, but the opportunity presented itself, and so we're doing the best we can. So far, our tentative itinerary seems to be almost the same as yours. We have MANY questions!! Can I e-mail you directly for some assistance? Also, are you able to send the wonderful Maribel files that I am reading so much about, for Barcelona, Madrid, Seville. Thank you so much, looking forward to hearing from you,
Leslie
