" I think picking an arbitrary cutoff age is ridiculous."
Luisa, No one here is picking anything it is a question of the norm in Madrid. While there is no "rule", artibrary or otherwise, you may notice while many women in Madrid wear jeans, few ladies over 60 wear them in the evening in Madrid restaurants & tapas bars. It is not a common sight and not the norm for this age group.
That's all.
And to reply to this:
" if a woman is 59 and fat she can wear jeans, but a thin, fit 71 year old (or older) woman is not supposed to?"
Nope. I am 53 and I think many thinner ladies over 60 look far better than I. We did mention it's about fit and taste.
Sounds like Cova's mom rocks in jeans.Party on Cova's mom!
(Worldinabag.. yes it was a fun but used alot of hairspray!)
