Seville or Cordorba

Another Spain addict (we should start a thread) seeking Fodorite opinions-

Have been to Seville and absolutely loved it and am planning another trip in Nov. but may have to pick between spending a few days in either Seville or Cordorba. For those who have been to both--how would you say they compare?
Why do you have to choose? They're under an hour apart by train.

I think it would probably be easier and cheaper to stay in Cordoba and see Sevilla on day trips - also Carmona and Ecija. I love Cordoba - I missed going out to medina Azahara and I hope you will not make the same mistake. E-mail on [email protected]
if you want my notes on Andalucia.

I would stay in Sevilla versus Cordoba. Cordoba is easily doable as a day trip from Sevilla. Another thought....have you considered the lovely town of Carmona?

I second CathyM. For an art lover, as you know, there's so much beauty to see in Seville. It's very easy to make Córdoba a full day trip on a 40 min. AVE ride and do it justice. Seville's Museo de Bellas Artes is an absolute gem, particularly for their superb collection of Spanish Baroque, along with the gorgeous patios of the Casa de Pilatos, even the Hospital de la Caridad. Then make Carmona a day trip from Seville.
