Santa Margherita B&B Villa Gnocchi

Some friends want to stay at Villa Gnocchi in Santa Margherita. When I look at the reviews I see such mixed reviews. I am concerned about getting around the town and how clean the bathrooms and rooms are. Has anyone been there within the past 2 years to shed some light on what the B&B is like now. Thank you.

A pretty place, beautiful views, nice rooms, but remote location, up in the hills on a winding road.It will be difficult to leave there at night if you want to have dinner down below in SML. Also, you can hear train noise from valley below.

We had a reservation there a long time ago but when we arrived we did not like the location. It is difficult to get down the road to the place itself. We went with our back-up plan and, lucky for us, they had 2 rooms available with views and terraces and close to restaurants, shopping, etc. We were happy we did not stay at Villa Gnocchi.

Thank to the forum we are going to stay somewhere closer to the water. We are all 60 and that didn't sound fun spending our time walking up and down hills or waiting for a bus. Thank you again.
