Sandal weather in Spain
A question for Spanish Fashionistas - is April too early to wear sandals in the cities of Andalucia (Grenada, Cordoba, Seville)? Here in the US (except maybe Florida and Southern California) the sandals don't usually come out until after Memorial Day. Either the dressy ones (like Mephisto or Arche), or the heavy duty walking ones (like Tevas). Any guidance anyone?

It is not a question of fashion, but of weather.
I have worn them in April in Andalucia because it was too hot for closed shoes.
And if we are talking fashion ... I donīt think that Mephisto or Arche are so dressy Check the new Camper collection once you get here, they have some really cute ones.

Not just Texas -- sandals are worn nearly year-round in much of the South, particularly the Gulf Coast. Not just FL and CA.
People were wearing sandals in Atlanta just last week. Of course now it's chilly again but I'm sure that sandal weather will be back next week.

If you buy sandals before you go, try to find some cork-soled sandals to insulate the soles of your feet.
The soles of my feet got burned through my sandals sightseeing in Sevilla. That was in April.

My cork-soled sandals are brand-X. I think they were made in Brazil. They have leather uppers and thick cork soles & are unbelievably light weight.
After the incident I described and thinking about my next trip, I bought them for next to nothing at an end-of-summer clearance at a local (Phila) department store that may no longer be in business (Strawbridge & Clothier or John Wanamaker).
I don't think I would buy sandals or shoes online: ladies aren'n the only people who insist on trying them on for at least a few steps.
