wales or Spain?

My husband and I have an opportunity to visit either Malagra or Wales for a week April. 16th. We would appreciate your thoughts on which to choose and why. We will be flying from los Angeles and have timeshare in either place. We would rather not have to pay additional hotel costs. We can rent a car if necessary.

Now that's a choice not everyone would want to make. Flip a coin and see what happens!

I'd pick Spain as the weather will most likely be much more pleasant.

If it were my trip, Wales would win (I love history, castles, mountains, gardens). However, it is not my trip; it is yours and you have to choose.

If you live in California, then I cannot see the attraction of Spanish weather. You could just be swapping one Sierra Nevada for another.

It depends on what you want -- but staying a week on the Costa del Sol would NOT be my choice. That isn't like a week seeing "<i>Spain</i>"-- it is mostly once-small fishing villages that are now full of condos full of Northern European ex-pats. More Fish and chips than paella.

Which property is it in Wales and are the Costa del Sol and Wales your only choices?

But even w/o knowing exactly where in Wales - it would probably be my choice.

I think the location of the time share is likely crucial and you need to provide more info.

Malaga does probably not mean Malaga city, which would be a fine location, and very likely does mean the Costa del Sol, as part described above, and also may be remote from anything other than the timeshare complex and anything which may be your vision of Spain.

I know both Wales and much of Andalucia very well. Without knowing the locations, I cannot tell you whether you will need a hire car or not.

'We would rather not have to pay additional hotel costs.' - Cannot be sure what is intended by this.

I assumed she meant they want to stay at the timeshare and use it as a base w/o having to pay to stay in hotels some/any nights.

But we really can't be of any more help w/o knowing exactly which timeshare resorts they are.
