someone else just asked this question, AF always serve you a meal if you are going over the Atlantic Ocean. For some strange reason, they don't mention it in their itinerary -- I just booked a flight Monday and it only said "breakfast" going over and I know it includes dinner. I don't know of any airline that doesn't serve a meal for a flight that long, but I suppose there's always a chance.

We've flown several times to and from LAX with them. They will serve dinner and a light breakfast. They have provided free cocktails and wine. I like that they leave snacks and beverages in out in the galley during the night. Sometimes they even had Dove ice cream bars. You will not go hungry with AF.

Assuming you're flying in coach yes, there will be some sort of meal. If you want to eat it or not is another question. If I'm stuck in coach I eat before or after (short flights) and bring my own food (longer flights) since I cannot consumer what the airlines serve. (IMHO bringing a salad or sandwich from a decent take-out in the airport (Au Bon Pain or similar) is way better than the airline food.

nytraveler: I totally hear you on that one! Especially if I can take some nice "tremazzini" on board from an Italian cafe.
kerouac: Yes, I believe it is a Delta flight. I found a deal on ORBITZ and it was a partner thing with Air France going one way and Delta the other way.
