Anyone know of good Czech-food restaurants within easy walk from Prague Marriott?

Palffy Palác (Vald?tejnská 14, Prague 1 (5753 0522 / www.czechreality.cz/palffy). Metro Malostranská/ 12, 18, 22 tram.
Open 11am-midnight daily.

Have been here twice. Awesome setting (former embassy I believe). Great value and food.

It is probably 15-20 minute walk from where you are staying.

Not sure if you are actually about "fine dining" - - but if it is typical local fare, then we enjoyed a palce right at the ground level of our apartment building on Zatec. I think the restaurant has more or less the same name - - maybe Garden Zatecka?

I know a couple I like. For traditional Czech cafe, you must go to Cafe Imperial which is right down the street (Na Porici 15). The ambience alone is worth it.

Flambee at Husova 5 (a little south of Old Town Square) is a very nice moderate-level international/czech restaurant. I also enjoyed the open-air restaurant at the Hotel U Prince right on the square near the old clock. They have a lot of traditional Czech dishes, a pleasant atmosphere and it's fun for people-watching. They have some other restaurants inside, but I like to be out and about when traveling. I think someone said the inside one is cheaper, which wouldn't surprise me, because you may pay for the location outside. It was still not that expensive.

There is a nice restaurant almost across the street from the Marriott, a beautiful Art Nouveau one inside the Municipal House. I know they have French cuisine, so you'll have to check on the Czech dishes, if you want them.

Those are my personal choices; I often eat other types of cuisine in Prague myself, as I'm not crazy about Czech cuisine.
