I stayed at the Aria Hotel this past September and loved it. It was very nice to be away from the throngs around the Charles Bridge.

Our last night in Prague, returning to the Three Ostriches, an American chorale group was singing under the arches of the bridge.

It was a lovely night we had to say goodbye to Prague.

While it is a very busy area and we like busy.

We have used Hotel Central for our Prague Music and Markets tours and really liked it - a great breakfast buffet, helpful staff, lovely spacious rooms, good location near magnificent Obecni Dum (go to a concert there if you get a chance!)

We just decided to go the airbnb route instead of staying in a hotel. We have rented a very cool-looking attic apartment with castle views near the Jewish quarter. We've had great communication with the owner so far. We're all more enthusiastic about the trip now - looking forward to a less touristy experience. Will report back.

I scored a fantastic rate (98Euros/night) at the Hotel Klarov through Travelzoo... In a junior suite, breakfast included, and they also throw in free 48 hour Hop on Hop off bus tickets (we do this in some cities, not all). It wasn't my first choice, I'd booked something closer to the center through Booking.com but it was a book now, pay later type deal. Saved $500 by booking this last night. Hope I don't regret, but the reviews were quite good.

Anyone ever stay there?

Klarov is fine, you are only a minutes walk from a main metro station and several trams.
good luck with the HoHo bus,it is not the best way of getting around and you will find the No22 tram of more use to you
