Positano hotel question

Is it possible to get a room in Positano for around $150US? Here's the stretch...with a sea view? It can be no frills otherwise, but has to be clean. Any possibilities?

Hi mda --

I think it probably depends on the time of year. If you're going in the height of summer, I highly doubt it. Check the Hotel California if you're off-season.

Good luck!

A room with a view maybe in a modest B&B, certainly not in a hotel.

Try googling Villa Sofia Positano.

I've gotten a room with a view at the Eden Roc off season (early April) for about $200 - I haven't seen much with the view for less. (we like the Eden Roc, BTW; good value for the price)

Hi

Try the Brikette Hostel - http://www.brikette.com. I had a double room with ensuite there. Breathtaking views from your terrace and also at breakfast. The place was spotless and staff friendly.

Or you could also try Ira's recommendation, LE SIRENE in Praiano.

I'm drawing a blank as to the name of the hotel but it is a Best Western affiliate and just one or two doors up the hill from the Poseidon Hotel (which I can personally recommend tho not in your price range). All the rooms face the water (supposedly) and the price is very affordable. This is 2nd hand info but the source is quite reliable.

You don't say when you are going to Positano but that will affect the price at almost every hotel.

You might consider the Villa Rosa in Positano. We enjoyed our stay there, good breakfast served on your private balcony overlooking the water. Helpful staff and priced close to your range. Here's the website: www.villarosapositano.it

Hi Worldinabag,
That would be the place, right there on via Pasitea! Thanks for filling in the blank.

I'm traveling to the AC in late June and was hoping to find a decent hotel or B&B in Positano with a seaview for under $200 a night. After several days of searching I finally gave up and went with Ira's choice and booked Le Sirene.
