1st Floor in Hotel California in Positano - worth it?
Hi all,
My boyfriend and I are leaving for Positano in 2 weeks - I just made a reservation at Hotel California today. Yes, we're procrastinators... The room is on the 1st floor, with a balcony. I was told the room has a sea view, however, I'm worried the view may be obstructed, and about the street noise. Should I be concerned?
There is little-to-no availability left in Positano at this point, so obviously I can't afford to be too picky. However, I don't want to be unhappy with my room and would be willing to stay in another town if need be.
Would appreciate your candid advice on whether I should keep this room or book elsewhere. Thanks for your help!

Is the room on the terrace floor on what we would call the second floor? Sometimes in Europe the first floor is what we would call the the second floor. The terrace rooms on on the first level and under the trellis. Breakfast is served on the terrace, and I remember that the views were spectacular. Did you look at the pictures at their website? You can get a good idea of how it will be.

Check previous posts written by IRA, who has stayed in Le Sirene in Praiano, a small town only a few miles outside Positano. The hotel sounds lovely,is probably less expensive than Hotel California, and apparently has beautiful views from most if not all of its rooms. Good luck!
