Does anyone know what the standard rooms are like? Room 210 & 209 are booked, but I could either get a superior room (203) or a standard room.

We stayed in room 201 and LOVED it. We looked at the more expensive rooms but preferred this one (I think it was a little over 200 euros in October 2002). The room had a nice sized window in the bathroom with a great view of the sea, two balconies, a gorgeous bed and a comfortable sitting room.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning to go to Positano. Great service and dripping with Italian charm. We had a fantastic experience there.

Thanks dananddar. They don't have any standard rooms available anymore, anyway. So we booked the superior room (203.) The hotel sounds wonderful.

We were in Positano about 3 weeks ago and we stayed in Room 203. Great room, great views from balcony and bathroom, a pleasure to have breakfast in their dining room overlooking Positano. Room, facilities and staff were first class. You will love it.
