There's a Mois de la Photo in November. I think that it runs in alternate years -- so it looks to be 2006 next.
There's Maison Europeenne de la Photographie (near the Maris).

Finally there's Jeu de Paume:

There's a branch near the Tuileries Gardens -- which I think has stuff apart from photography.
Then there's also a branch in Hotel Sully (in the Marais).

I second the suggestion of Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson. I was there in Feb this year and enjoyed it (the exhibition then was on Giacometti and HCB).

Thanks for your responses. I have checked out the websites provided and found it all very interesting - both for our trip in Sept/Oct and also for general interest in photography. Cheers!

By the way, this just occurred to me -- is Jardin du Luxembourg still showing photos on the peripheral "fence"?
I don't know if that's a one-time deal or an on-going occurrence.
I remember seeing some on a previous visit.
