Photo Exhibitions in Paris
Hi everyone
Does anyone know of any places in Paris that run exhibitions of photographic works? Many thanks! |
There's a Mois de la Photo in November. I think that it runs in alternate years -- so it looks to be 2006 next.
There's Maison Europeenne de la Photographie (near the Maris). http://www.mep-fr.org/us/default_test_ok.htm Finally there's Jeu de Paume: http://www.jeudepaume.org There's a branch near the Tuileries Gardens -- which I think has stuff apart from photography. Then there's also a branch in Hotel Sully (in the Marais). |
Haven't been here yet, but I'd like to:
Foundation Cartier-Bresson http://www.henricartierbresson.org/hcb/HCB_expo_en.htm by the Gaite metro, 14th arr. |
Neither have I, but that's a great suggestion!

I second the suggestion of Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson. I was there in Feb this year and enjoyed it (the exhibition then was on Giacometti and HCB).
The World Press Photo Organization is holding its 2005 exhibitions currently at many cities. The one in Paris is from June 10 - 30, 2005 at Address: Azzedine Alaïa 18 Rue de la Verrerie 75004 Paris |

Thanks for your responses. I have checked out the websites provided and found it all very interesting - both for our trip in Sept/Oct and also for general interest in photography. Cheers!

By the way, this just occurred to me -- is Jardin du Luxembourg still showing photos on the peripheral "fence"?
I don't know if that's a one-time deal or an on-going occurrence. I remember seeing some on a previous visit. |
