We took our 13 year old granddaughter last October. She really enjoyed all of the usual sites but her favorite time was shopping so leave time for that. We were there for four days and we all hated to leave. Plan your days ahead so you don't waste time when there.

about daily fashion shows at Galeries Lafayette or Au Printemps department stores? I'd certainly do a Bateau Mouche type boat trip on the Seine - especially at night when all the monuments are gloriously floodlit.

My daughters were 13 & 17 when we visited Paris. They loved the Musee d'Orsay, Impressionist Art Musuem, as well as the Rodin Scuplture Musuem. They both have cute places to eat. Just window shopping in some of the boutique streets are a lot of fun, we stayed just off the Blvd. St. Michel and it was fun just to look. There are a lot of chocolate shops where you can get cocoa and patisserie. My younger daughter enjoyeed stopping every day around 3 p.m.The original Sephora cosmetics store is across from Galeries Lafayete, you can get made up fo free! We spent 2 hours looking at make up and perfume. You have to go to the Champs Elysees and look in on the fancy hotels, George V, etc. They enjoyed seeing how people with $$$$ travel! We also did the L'Opentour, the sightseeing bus, which let us get on/off to explore what interested them. Have fun!

We took my step daughters when they were 14 and 17.

Their favorites:

Musee D'Orsay
Notre Dame
Saint Chapelle
Musee de Cluny

And shopping - though where I can;t tell you. We wanted to spend more time in the Louvre and they did a bunch of extra shopping at some place the elder had heard of from a friend who went the summer before. (And they did end up with some bargains - and one thing I hope neither of them wore in public.)

We were in Paris last March and my daughter was 13. Two things we did out of the ordinary that she really enjoyed were:

Diedre Ludot (24 Galerie Montpensier - Le Jardin du Palais Royal) - He is one of the world's most famous vintage clothing dealers. This is where Reese Witherspoon bought her vintage Academy Award dress last year. Demi Moore and Nicole Kidman also regularly shop there. It was closed when we were there, as it was a Sunday. I'm not sure, but it might be open only by appt. Either way, we both enjoyed just looking at the windows. On the other side of the Palais Royal he also has a shop that just sells vintage black dresses. When we were there he had a great collection of black dresses from Hitchcock movies in the window.

Musee Galliera - Musee de la Mode de la Ville de Paris. This is a fashion museum in Paris. They are only open when they have a specific exhibit. When we were there they had an exhibit on the history of fashion shows. It was quite interesting.

We also did a fashion show at Au Printemps and did enjoy it.

As everyone else has said, its hard to go wrong with shopping and teen age girls, and its hard to find anywhere better than Paris to shop. Be sure to include evening strolls. We like to walk back to the hotel after dinner. Paris at night is magic.

Sorry for the misspelling. It is Didier Ludot.

We've been to Paris twice with our daughter- once when she was 12 and last year when she was 15. She loves paris and loves the Marais. She really loved the Picasso Museum, the D'Orsay, strolling Ile St. Louis, and strolling along the Seine, Sitting in the Luxembourg Gardens and people watching, she liked the tour of the Conciergerie (because she was studying the French Revolution and Marie Antionnette), seeing the Eifel Tower in the day and at night, shopping in the Marais on Des Francs-Bourgeois, Rue de Rosiers, Ruie Vielle du Temple. She also loved the evening cruise up the Seine. That was a highlight. And...we did a walking tour of Montmarte through Paris Walks and she really liked that and then we hung out in the square in Montmarte afterwards- it was like Disneyland but we had a good time at a cafe with crepes and taking in the sights. Paris is a favorite of hers (and ours).
