I'd like to report another bad experience with Shuttle Inter, which was 1/2 hour late despite a call confirming our reservation the day before, and more calls the morning of our departure. The Shuttle Inter van arrived just as I came back to our apartment with a taxi, the last one at the nearby square. OTOH, we've had good luck over the years with Parishuttle.

I forgot to add that the cost of the taxi from our apartment, which is right across from Notre Dame in the 5th, was 60€ on a weekday morning. We have a reservation with Parishuttle in October for 36€.

As for finding a phone to call the shuttle service, there are tons of pay phones in the terminal. I just go to one of the big silver ones and dial the toll free number that www.airport-connection has provided. I say the silver ones because last year, I think it was, there was a problem using the yellow pay phones. But, I alerted them to the problem, when I called, and even wrote them a letter. I'm sure it's been taken care of by now. Plus, the silver phones are only a few steps from the yellow phones.
A rep comes on the line right away. I tell them what door I'm closest to and they tell me which door to go to. The phone situation is a none issue with me. Happy Travels!

Klondike: That's true. One gets to see other areas. In the shuttle that I took a few months ago, there were two women from New York going to their rented apartment in the 14th. I was on my way to my rented apartment in the 6th. Although I have been in the 14th several times, I hadn't been to that part of the 14th. It was nice to see another part of the 14th.
Plus, the New Yorkers and I had a great conversation along the way, from CDG, and the driver pointed out some tourist attractions. The two women had been vacationing in Paris for decades, as I have, but it was nice of the driver to point things out.
And on the way back to CDG, I got a great driver who was really cheerful and talkative. He was telling us how he was born and raised in Paris his whole life, but was fed up with the rising cost of living. So, he said that he would be retiring and moving to Buenos Aires as he spoke some Spanish and felt like he could be very comfortable there. We then got into a conversation about Buenos Aires as I had been there in 2008. He was incredibly interesting and told us passengers a lot of interesting things about Paris. Those of us in the shuttle really enjoyed him.
Another Airport-Connection driver I had in 2008, was French Vietnamese. We had a great conversation about Southeast Asia, in general, as I vacation there regularly. He was also complaining about the high cost of living in Paris and said that he was moving here to L.A. County or down to Orange County where his cousins lived. There is a big Vietnamese community here and down in Orange County.
Also, the driver who also owns his own business www.americandriverinparis.com was one of my shuttle drivers. He's American, but has lived in Paris many years and learned French when he was young I think. He's from New Mexico. Really nice guy. I had ordered a shared shuttle, but was the only one in it the morning that he picked me up. We had great conversations. That's when I found out that he had his own driving company aside from working for Airport-Connection.
So, for me, the shuttle experience has not been all of the horror stories that people have written about. But, I've been taking them regularly and over a very long period of time. Plus, as someone mentioned, no form of transportation is 100% foolproof. Happy Travels!

Unless I missed it, nobody has mentioned Roissybus or Les Cars Rouges. If you want a cheap sightseeing trip, this could be your ticket. It's been a few years since I took it, but Roissybus was 8.20€, doesn't require a ticket in advance nor a call from a phone booth. I chose the drop off by l'Opéra and crossed the street to the taxi rank at Galeries Lafayette for a few euros ride the rest of the way to my apartment.
