What an ordeal! I'm so sorry you guys had to suffer through that. Hopefully, you'll find these new accomodations to be wonderful.

Just as well. Since I ran out of ideas in my limited time in Rome, I was about to tell all affected to look at chain hotels!

Well, I was able to secure reservations at the Due Torri. Whew!

i_am_kane, I'm glad you posted this because I'm not sure the Cesari would have e-mailed me anytime soon had I not e-mailed them first. So, thank you!!

So glad you all got things straightened out! One hotel for 10 people isn't easy.

Can't wait to read your trip reports.

Buon viaggio!

abby97, I am so glad it worked out for you. This forum is priceless.

dayle, What trip report? Only kidding!

mcnyc, You know, the chain hotel recommendation might have been the way to go if I didn't secure reservations. Good thinking!

Now, I'm on to learning how to use my new digital camera for the trip. 31 days and counting...

Glad everyone found a new hotel. Our reservation at Albergo Cesari is for June 24-29. I spoke with them on the phone and they said they are not taking new reservations past June 27 and the last check out day will be July 1. So, technically we are safe, although we may have issues with some noise and a half empty hotel. A bit concerned about service on the last few days.

However, we have stayed there before and really like it and LOVE the location so we are going to stick with it. I am glad I know going in what to expect. Thank you I am Kane to alerting us all.

Abby97, happy to hear that you are all set also!

I was surprised that, with so little time left before our trip, we actually had responses back from quite a few hotels recommended here which had two rooms available for our dates. I was also pleased that all the hotels we sent inquiries to responded even if they didn't have rooms for us. The Hotel Santa Maria, although they did not have space, even sent us the names of two hotels to check for rooms!

All's well that ends well! Hope we all are pleased with the hotels we selected, too!
