Last night in Rome

We will return to Rome for another night- just before flying home.

Should we stay at the airport and take the train in during the day- or go to a nice hotel in the eternal city and take a cab in the morning?

Stay in the city the night before and just use a limo service or prearranged cab to get back to FCO. Why miss a night in Rome?

You are right! Why miss a night in this Roman-tic city (pun intended).

Hi mweiner -- I would opt for plan B. My flights out of Rome (or any other European city for that matter) have always left at the crack of dawn and I always stay in the city vs. an airport hotel. I usually stay up later than I should celebrating my last night. But make sure I take in the proper amount of wine and/or cocktails -- not so much that I can't wake up and miss my plane, but enough that I fall straight to sleep when I settle myself on the plane. There is a very fine line between the two, but so far, I've never missed a flight (well okay once, but that was not because of alcohol -- it was over a stupid technicality that I won't even get into because it still makes me angry!)

We were very pleased with the services of Rome Shuttle Limousine on our trip earlier this year..the price from central Rome is 35 Euro per car and the cars are in great condition. They picked us up at the airport and drove us back at the end..

HI,

I just checked the prices on the web for the shuttle and it said 50 euro. How did you get 35 euro? I would love 35 euro!

I just used the shuttle last weekend in Rome and they were great. The fare was 35 euros for two person to and from FCO to downtown Roma. The trip into Rome was VERY scary as we missed getting hit by 3 times-but the trip out was alot better driver and great.I would still recommend them as opposed to cab or using the Leonardo Express to Termini.

The 35 Euro price is stated in red right in the middle of the webpage. We used them last week from central Rome to FCO. They were right on time, loaded our luggage for us, and gave us a very nice ride in a Mercedes station wagon to the airport. I highly recommend them.

Thank you. They quoted me the price immediately in an email. We will use them! Thanks again.
