hotels in venice

I've been by the hotel and dropped into the lobby; it looks good. The location, on Calle dei Specchieri, is very good; and the hotel has an elevator and A/C. It's maybe a hundred meters away from St. Marks, far enough to keep the noise down a bit. If you get a room right on dei Specchieri, it might be a bit noisy during the day because it's on one of the main walking routes between St. Mark's and the Rialto bridge. But who's going to be there during the day anyway? The price is competitive with other hotels of the same quality.

I recently visited Venice and stayed
at Hotel Metropole. It was an excellent
choice. Check venere.com for last minute manager's specials that include
dinner buffet and reduced room rates.
The service was excellent and rooms were
beautiful. Jetaun Harvey
