Hotels in Rome

My wife and I have a last minute cruise in November which ends in Rome and we would like to stay there a couple of days after the cruise. Any suggestions on clean and safe hotels near the Colliseum and other attractions. thank you, DAP1206

We would like to stay under $200 a night but could go higher if the stay is worth the money. We are early risers and all day sightseers, so the room only needs to be clean.

If you want to be near the Colosseum you can't get much closer that Hotel Forum

You can search on Venere by area and price.

Does it have to be near the Colosseum? Would you consider the Pantheon area which is the most central area of rome?

If so, let me know, I have a wonderful recommendation for that area.

Is there a reason why you want to stay near the Colosseum? It is not in the most central of locations.

I love the area around the Colosseum personally and Capo d'Africa is one of my preferred hotels in Rome after a dozen or so trips there.

I used to stay near the Pantheon but that area has simply become way too noisy and packed with tourists. We prefer the quieter area near the Colosseum and walk just about everywhere.
