preferably near the city center, near lots of the attractions. We would really like something nice for a rpice of maybe 120-250max...really hate to spend that much if its not necessary. All advice is appreciated! Thanks

We were just at the Farnese (200+ a night). Quiet and lovely. After a trip around Umbria, we came back to Rome and stayed at the Ponte Sisto. I'm surprised there isn't more about that hotel on the forum - very central, roomy, etc., etc.

My wife and I stayed at Bettoja Hotel Nord Nuova near Termini last year and that was OK. The inner city of Rome is not that big so it is pretty easy to get around.
