Hotels in Rome

preferably near the city center, near lots of the attractions. We would really like something nice for a rpice of maybe 120-250max...really hate to spend that much if its not necessary. All advice is appreciated! Thanks

Well, this isn't a hotel but it's a great place to stay - a very comfortable B&B near the Vatican: www.apartment-saint-peters.com

Is this range in Euros of US Dollars? Room for 2 and what time of year? Prices vary by season and number of guests considerably.

We were just at the Farnese (200+ a night). Quiet and lovely. After a trip around Umbria, we came back to Rome and stayed at the Ponte Sisto. I'm surprised there isn't more about that hotel on the forum - very central, roomy, etc., etc.

Try the Hotel Italia - you can search for them on venere.com.

Hi

My wife and I stayed at Bettoja Hotel Nord Nuova near Termini last year and that was OK. The inner city of Rome is not that big so it is pretty easy to get around. We took the bus, metro and walked a lot to get around. I have posted a trip report with pictures and links on my homepage http://gardkarlsen.com/rome_italy.htm . Maybe you can find some useful info there. I have also posted a review of the hotel with some pictures on the page.

regards
Gard
