Hotel Victoria/Budapest...is it noisy?

What can I say, I'm a sucker for a view...but I understand there is a busy road next to it and I need my sleep. Is noise a problem here? Thank you.

Not a bit that I recall.

I cannot say it is noisy but it is a little remote, in my view.

To get to Pest, you have the choice of riding or walking down to the Chain Bridge (Szechenyi Lanchid) or up to Batthyany ter, where you can catch the subway.

As I have generally spent all my time in Pest, I question any Buda location, this one especially. Unless you have a special reason to stay on that side...

(I admit that the panorama of Pest, esp the Parliament, must be marvelous.)

I don't recall it being noisy either, but we were on the top floor. There's just the one road (and not really one of the cities busiest streets overall) in front of the hotel, then the river. Decent sound insulation on the glass. We had a balcony (what a view!) and it really wasn't even that noisy when outside.

We stayed in both Pest, on the Vaci Utca and at the Victoria in Buda at different times.

I agree that staying in Pest does make things more accessible, but in general liked the views best from the Buda side. Depends on what you find most important. I'm glad we had the chance to see the view from the Victoria, but also glad we spent more time staying on the Pest side.

We were one floor from the top and the room was quite quiet. There is a street directly in front of the hotel but, as I recall, most of the traffic is on a second street which is right on the river's edge and is below the grade of the hotel's street and entrance so that the traffic noise is effectively baffled.

We were very happy with the hotel and its location.
