Good price from LAX to LHR in May

Thanks to the travelzoo alerts, I just booked my flights for May for $463 round trip (that's with taxes) from LAX to LHR on Air New Zealand.

Sure we're flying from SFO and into Florence, but even with the costs of the extra flights, it's a couple hundred less than I have seen in the three months I've been looking. And it's better flight times to top it off.

Hope this can help someone else!

That's a great price for a west coast flight in May. I'm paying $411 (inc tax/es fees) in Feb (SFO/LHR), so $463 in May seems a steal.

Hi C,

Questions:

1. What are your dates?

2. What website did you use?

My dates are May 2 - May 11. I've been checking expedia and kayak on a regular basis and every now and then I do a more wide range search.

I found this flight through the travelzoo top 20 alerts that came in today. Kayak had a price about $200 more from SFO that flies you to LA first and then gets you on this flight.

Hi C,

Thanks for the information. I found the same fares on Air New Zealand's website.

I just booked this, as well. Two roundtrip tix LAX/LHR, non-stop, for the week of April 2, just over $900 (for both tickets). What a great deal!

The even better news is that NZ has - I believe - the most legroom in economy of all carriers running between the US and the UK. Great deal indeed on a great airline.
