FLight from LAX to Columbus Ohio
I have been trying to find a non-stop flight to CMH on the 26th May 08 but no luck. The international flight lands at LAX at 12.30pm and then DD and SIL want to get to CMH in the shortest time possible,
The only flight I have found that leaves mid afternoon is a SW airlines, with a stop in Las Vegas arriving Columbus at 12.55am.
It would be appreciated if you were able to find something better. I have been to Kayak, Expedia, and Travelocity.

Fastest way to CMH, with a semi-probable connection at LAX is on AA. Departs LAX 2:00p, arrives DFW 7:00p; then departs DFW 8:10p and arrives CMH 11:30p.
Or UA departs LAX also 2:00p, connect at ORD and arrives CMH 11:35p.
To give yourself a little more time at LAX, DL departs 2:15p, connect at ATL, and arrives CMH 12:05a.
UA departs 2:20p, connect at DEN, also arrives CMH 12:05a.
If you're interlining, then DL to DEN at 2:45p, and UA to CMH, arriving 12:05a.
I don't think there are faster ways. Even if you're willing to use alternate airports.

Arriving at terminal 2, they will have to change terminals.

Would be easy enough to walk to Southwest or USAir at T1.

Decided on SW airlines flight at 3.40pm, yes a very very long day, but that's the way it goes.
I managed to get DD to change the flight to Tuesday 27th May (they hadn't paid for their tickets yet) so got the SW flights at $ 99.00 each.

Good choice. Good price. She should have plenty of time at LAX. I would definitely walk from T2 to T1. The weather sure will be nice enough.
You get a good view from window seat, with window on your left, when flying into Las Vegas.
Hopefully the connection at LAS will be in the same concourse. The following shows that Southwest uses both B and C. http://www.mccarran.com/airportguide.asp
There is a shuttle (I am almost certain) between B and C. Definitely don't want to go through security to change concourses.
