Your 18-year old is going to have a fabulous time!!! I just took my 18-year old son last March for birthday/grad present (it was just the two of us). We did London for a week and then Oxford, the Cotswolds and Bath. He loved it all in different ways. He loved the Cotswolds and we were there during the lambing season and got to walk through fields of baby lambs.

Gordon_R, yes we do realize it's at least two hours direct but we plan to stop at Arundel to visit the castle then onwards. I was just trying to say that we wouldn't plan a 200-300 mile drive right off the plane...

Flanneruk, I'm sure he's drunk more than he's told his mother and me but has only admitted to being grossed out by Bud Light. As much as we all drink around him and his older sister, neither seem much interested in joining in... And we live in New Orleans! Maybe it's the Catholic Schooling?
