If you look frumpy in jeans (and anyone can regardless of their age) then, you will likely look frumpy in anything else you wear.

When I suggested something besides jeans it sure wasn't Dockers! There are lots of lightweight pants options for women besides those two. Most all that pack, travel, wash, wear better than jeans/dockers for hot weather.

suze - it was Viajero who never travels to Europe w/o "dockers,
at least one skirt and a black jacket."

And, it's really a case of too each her own - and that's why
there are broomstick skirts!

Very, very, very, very few women over 35 look good in jeans. That is why black pants were invented.

I wonder what the not-over-35ers will think when THEY become over 35?

Colduphere, pulllleeezz!

All you ever try to do is get women OUT of their pants, so what do you care what kind they're wearing anyway????

That's one of the problem BC. It can take some women 45 minutes to get their jeans off ... they're so damn tight.

By then the little blue pill is wearing off.

Jeans are fine for cooler temps and casual wear - as long as they are presentable or dressy jeans - not cleaning out the garage holey levis. However, Italy at this time of year is often high 80s or 90s and humid - and I would roast in jeans. I would always pack lighter pants for the summer, as well as a couple of dresses or silk pants outfits to wear out to dinner.

As for one's age/figure - I'm assuming that either people are wearing what is appropriate and flattering given their specifics - or are clueless and will wear anything (like poor Ivana Trump with those mini-skirt suits so short and tight they are rolling up on her hips and practically showing her undies.)

I'm imagining that if you are putting your temperature in ferenheit, then it will probably be way to hot for you to wear jeans. However they are acceptable. I'm sitting here in jean and t shirt in 32 degree (89F) weather and I am fine. It depends where you come from.
